Brynne Schellenger (she/Her), LMLP
Brynne is a Licensed Masters Level Psychologist in the state of Kansas. After majoring in Psychology at Kansas State University, she received a Master of Arts degree in Psychology (emphasis in clinical skills) in 2016 from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. Prior to co-founding the DBT Center of Lawrence, Brynne provided DBT to adults and adolescents at the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center in Lawrence, KS, for two years.
Brynne is passionate about providing DBT due to her belief that people have inherent wisdom, are capable of learning and changing, and are able to improve their own lives. Brynne has a soft spot in her heart for the DBT skill called alternate rebellion, from the addictions module - effectively managing a problematic impulse while expressing one's rebellious nature in such a way as to not get in trouble. During her free time Brynne enjoys spending it with her two exuberant dog children and partner, working with her horses, bullet journaling, and most recently kayaking.
