Nathan Purdue

DBT Therapist

Nathan Purdue (he/Him), LMLP

Nathan is a licensed master's level psychologist in the state of Kansas with experience working in a college counseling center with diverse adolescents and adults (mostly with ages 16-25). He attended Fort Hays State University, where he received his undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Secondary Education, and his MS in Clinical Psychology.

Nathan brings a collaborative relational approach to therapy, grounding evidence-based therapy interventions in an empathic, real relationship. Nathan has experience providing integrative therapies that nest well into DBT's strategies and skills. Nathan's favorite DBT Skill (at the moment) is "Making Lemonade out of Lemons", an important reminder to remain open to the opportunity present in even the hardest moments of life, embracing change and stepping towards a life worth living.

Outside of work, Nathan enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, spending time with loved ones, trying new food (sometimes valiantly attempting to recreate the dishes for family), and doting on his beloved cats and dog (princess).
